Weekend clearing breaks before a partner-bank review
Payments institution · northern Taiwan · six-week flagship audit
A wallet operator approached us six weeks before a sponsor bank’s annual diligence visit. Their daily totals cleared, yet Monday morning break lists regularly aged past the SLA. Operations believed the issue was “file timing.” Sampling showed holiday-weekend clearing applied late and refunds missing authorization references.
We ranked twelve findings; four were high severity. The closing letter recommended pausing a new corridor launch until the aged queue dropped below the firm’s own threshold. The bank review proceeded with a remediation timetable instead of a surprise deficiency letter. The client later commissioned a lighter assurance pack for a second banking partner using the same evidence annex.
