Refunds, deposits, and rescheduling

Eligibility overview

Fees relate to scoped professional services — payments controls audits, AML assessments, licensing readiness reviews, and partner-bank assurance packs. Refunds depend on how much fieldwork has started, whether a deposit was paid, and whether cancellation follows the notice periods below.

Deposits

Engagements typically require a deposit of 30% of the fixed fee to reserve the fieldwork window and begin the scoping inventory. The deposit is credited toward the final invoice. Deposits become non-refundable once walkthrough week has begun or once substantive sampling has started, whichever occurs first.

Full refund

If Copper Reed cancels an engagement before kickoff for reasons within our control (for example, an unavoidable conflict of interest discovered after signing), you receive a full refund of amounts paid for that engagement.

Partial refund

If you cancel in writing more than 14 days before the agreed kickoff date, we refund amounts paid minus an administrative fee of 10% of the engagement fee (minimum NT$15,000) to cover scoping already performed. If you cancel within 14 days of kickoff but before walkthrough week, the deposit is retained and any additional amounts paid for unstarted stages are refunded.

Non-refundable items

Fees for work already performed — including completed walkthrough days, issued draft findings, and delivered closing packs — are non-refundable. Pre-agreed travel expenses already incurred for on-site days are non-refundable. Third-party filing fees, if any are advanced at your request, follow the third party’s rules.

Work already started

Once substantive sampling begins, cancellation ends the engagement at the next logical milestone. You remain responsible for fees covering completed stages plus reasonable wind-down time (up to two business days) to secure workpapers and return access credentials.

Rescheduling

You may request one reschedule of the kickoff window with at least 10 days’ notice at no additional fee, subject to our availability. Further reschedules or shorter notice may incur a rescheduling charge of NT$20,000 or require a new engagement letter if team composition changes.

No-shows

If control owners fail to attend agreed walkthrough slots without 24 hours’ notice and the delay prevents sampling that day, we may charge for the reserved day or extend the calendar with a fee addendum.

Refund process and timing

Send refund or cancellation requests to hello@streamlineddata.digital with the engagement letter reference. Approved refunds are processed within 14 business days to the original payment method where possible. Bank transfer refunds may require additional account confirmation.

Purchased materials

We do not sell physical merchandise. Printed workpapers prepared for your engagement remain part of the professional record; copies delivered to you are not returnable for refund once issued.

Exceptions

Mandatory consumer protections under Taiwanese law, where applicable, take precedence over this page. Engagement letters may set stricter or more specific commercial terms for a given matter; where conflict exists, the signed letter controls for that engagement.
